Lalibela Rock Hewn Churches reopen for visitors as of tomorrow

Addis Ababa, October 31, 2020 (FBC) – Tourism Ethiopia has announced reopening of Lalibela Rock Hewn Churches for visitors as of tomorrow.

Director General of Tourism Ethiopia, Sileshi Girma said all attraction sites in Lalibela Rock Hewn Churches will be reopened on tomorrow October 31, 2020.

According to the Director General, Tourims Ethiopia has offered trainings to tour guides, hotlel owners, tour operators and other stakeholders of the tourism sector at Lalibela Town focused on tourist safety control, tourism information and guiding services and the national tourism logo promotion areas.

More than 600 individuals in hotel and tourism, tour operation, tourist guide and catering have received the training, the Director General said.

The Lalibela Rock Hewn Churches, UNESCO transcribed tourist attraction sites of Ethiopia are situated some 645 Km from Addis Ababa to the North.
