KOICA reiterates its support to Ethiopia in skill dev’t endeavors
Addis Ababa, March 21, 2024 (FBC) – The Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) has reaffirmed its commitment to bolstering support for skills development undertakings in Ethiopia.
During a meeting between Minister of State for Labor and Skills Teshale Berecha and a delegation led by KOICA Vice President Dong Ho Kim, the two parties emphasized KOICA’s ongoing assistance in the field of skills development and discussed potential future collaboration.
State Minister Teshale highlighted the longstanding friendship and diplomatic ties between Ethiopia and the Republic of Korea, expressing confidence that KOICA’s support in transferring skills and technology will elevate the relationship between the two nations.
Vice President Dong Ho Kim echoed the state minister’s points, expressing a desire to strengthen the friendly and diplomatic relations between the two countries
He went on to reiterate KOICA’s continued commitment to supporting Ethiopia’s skill development endeavors.
Furthermore, the KOICA delegation paid a visit to the Federal TVET University in Addis Ababa.
Note that Ethiopia signed a 16 million USD grant agreement with KOICA today to encourage agricultural export and reduce stunting in children.
