Jigjiga, Minneapolis agree to establish sister city partnership
Addis Ababa, August 3, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Somali region administrative city USA’s Minneapolis city reached an agreement to establish sister city partnership, according to Somali Regional State Communication Bureau.
Ethiopian delegation from the Somali region by the region’s Vice President Ibrahim Usman visited the Minneapolis City Hall, Minnesota.
The members of the delegation also consulted with the Mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, and Council Member Jamal Osman.
According to the regional communication bureau, an agreement has been reached between the cities of Jigjiga and Minneapolis for sisterhood cooperation.
It was also stated that the exchange of public service experience is a part of the sisterhood agreement.
