JICA pledges continued support to rehabilitation activities in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, February 15, 2024 (FBC) – Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Ethiopia Office, Oshima Kensuke met with Commissioner of the Ethiopian National Rehabilitation Commission, Teshome Toga, to discuss cooperation.

Teshome expressed gratitude to the government of Japan for its continued support to Ethiopia’s efforts in reintegrating ex-combatants.

JICA has donated technological equipment to the commission to help it register ex-combatants and provide them with digital IDs, and the commission thanked the agency for this support.

Oshima Kensuke and Teshome further explored ways how to strengthen collaboration towards the success of the rehabilitation activities in Ethiopia as the representative reaffirmed JICA’s continued commitment to this end.
