Japan’s Mitsubishi Corporation interested to invest in textile, automotive sectors in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, December 16, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador of Ethiopia to Japan, Tefera Derbew discussed with Vice President of Mitsubishi Corporation, Tetsuya Shinohara on burgeoning investment opportunities in Ethiopia.

The two exchanged views on Mitsubishi Corporation’s activities in Ethiopia particularity in the Tulu Moye Geothermal Power Project II and explored potential areas for further engagement.

Tetsuya Shinohara said the Corporation is participating in the construction of the Tulu Moye Geothermal Power Plant which is expected to generate 50MW of electricity upon completion.

The Vice President further expressed an interest of the Mitsubishi Corporation to invest in the textile and automotive sectors in Ethiopia.
