Japan signs contract with Gogota Care for construction of bridges in SNNP Region
Addis Ababa, December 30, 2022 (FBC) – Japanese Embassy in Addis Ababa signed a contract with a local NGO named Gogota Care to build two bridges for rural communities in Kembata Tembaro Zone in Southern Nations and Nationalities Peoples Region (SNNPR).
The bridges to be built at a cost of more than 84,000 USD are expected to facilitate safe transportation across roads connecting schools with residential places so that kids can go to schools in rainy season.
The bridges are also said vital to ensure safe transportation for ambulances there by supporting maternal, child and emergency health care services.
Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, ITO Takako and the Defense State Minister, Marta Luigi attended the contract signing ceremony.
