Japan reaffirms commitment to continue supporting DDR process in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, April 23, 2024 (FBC) – Commissioner of the National Rehabilitation Commission, Temesgen Tilahun, met with  Ambassador of Japan to Ehtiopia, SHIBATA Hironori to discuss ongoing activities to ensure sustainable peace.

Commissioner Temesgen said that Japan is one of the forerunning partners of Ethiopia to the Disarmament Demobilation and Rehabilitation program contributing the much-needed financial support for phase I of the program.

Ambassador SHIBATA Hironori reassured the Commissioner of Japanes unwavering commitment to the continuation of its support for the DDR program so as to help ensure sustainable peace and development in the country.
