Italian Ambassador, President of Afar Region discuss ways to enhance humanitarian assistance to IDPs

Addis Ababa, June 7, 2022 (FBC) – President of the Afar Region, Awol Arba received Ambassador of Italy to Ethiopia Agostino Palese and his delegation today.

The two sides discussed ways of enhancing delivery of humanitarian assistance to IDPs who fled their homes due to the TPLF aggression in the region.

The Ambassador said Italy has contributed its share to raise awareness for the international community on the atrocities committed by all parties in the conflict spreading in northern Ethiopia.

Coordinator of Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in the Embassy and other members has attended the meeting.
