Israel donates 27 drones to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, November 11, 2020 (FBC) –Israel has donated 27 drones to help Ethiopia fight the spread of desert locust swarms, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Israeli locust fighters task force handed over the drones and two more generators to Oumer Hussine, Ethiopia’s Minister of Agriculture.

Oumer on the occasion said the drones would help the Ministry to carry out surveillance and successful spraying on locust at night using the drones.

The Israeli task force arrived in Addis Ababa yesterday to support the Ethiopia’s efforts in battling locust swarms that hit the country, the worst in 25 years.
