Irreecha is being celebrated in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 3, 2020 (FBC) – Hundreds are celebrating the thanksgiving festival of the Oromo people, Irreecha at Hora Finfinnee, Addis Ababa with colorful events.

Aba Gadas, Oromo traditional leaders, Hadha Sinqes, religious leaders, higher government officials and invited guests are attending the festivity.

Irreecha, the most important event among the Oromo people marks the end of the rainy months and start of the harvest season.

The festival is being celebrated by a limited number of people compared to the previous year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
