Irrechaa 2024 to be celebrated October 5-6

Addis Ababa, September 26, 2024 (FBC) – Irreechaa 2024, the Oromo community’s annual thanksgiving festival, will take place on October 5 and 6, as announced by the Union of Abba Gedas in a media briefing held earlier today.

During the event, Irreechaa Hora Finfinne will be observed in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on October 5, while Irreechaa Hora Harsade will be celebrated in Bishoftu town the following day, October 6, 2024.

The Union of Abba Gedas also revealed that all necessary preparations for the celebration have been completed. The Abba Gedas also emphasized the importance of observing the festival in an atmosphere of peace, unity, fraternity, andherness.

Furthermore, the Abba Gedas extended an open invitation to members of other ethnicities across Ethiopia to join in the festivities and celebrate harmoniously together.
