Irrecha is a festival of resilience and transformation towards brighter future: PM Abiy

Addis Ababa, October 1, 2021 (FBC) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has extended congratulatory message upon the celebration of Irrecha festival.

In his message, the Prime Minister said Irrecha is a festival of resilience and transformation towards a brighter future.

Saying that Irrecha is one of astounding cultural values of the Oromo people, Premier extended gratitude to forefathers for preserving and passing on it to generations.

Irrecha is a feast of thanksgiving, reconciliation, peace, love forgiveness and unity, the Premier noted extending wishes to Ethiopians to have a blessed and peaceful festivity.

“As Irrecha is a festival during which we to thank the almighty God for his  beautiful creation and blessings, the celebration is observed by expressing best wishes for better future,” Abiy underlined.
