Irrecha colorfully celebrated at Hora Finfinnee in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 2, 2021 (FBC) – Hundred of thousands of Ethiopians from various parts of the country, dressed in unique and colorful traditional outfits, gathered in Hora Finfinnee, Addis Ababa to celebrate the Irrecha festival.

Aba Gadas, Hadha Sinqes and various segments of communities drawn from different zones of the Oromia region, residents of Addis Ababa and Finfinnee Special Zone have congregated at Hora Finfinnee for the celebration.

Youths, government officials at all levels and horsemen from the environs of Addis Ababa and other parts of Oromia have participated in the Irrecha festival that took place at Hora Finfinnee.

The congregates sent thanks to the almighty creator of the Universe (God) for giving the rains, fertility in the past months and then transforming the people to the already started brighter season with various rituals such as holding grasses, flowers and leaves and chanting around the water which is considered as source of everything.
