Int’l community urged to refrain from unbalanced expression of “the two sides”

Addis Ababa, September 04, 2022 (FBC) – Ambassador Teshome Toga gave a media briefing to China Global Television Network (CGTN) at the Embassy regarding the war that broke out for the third time in the northern part of the country and current national issues.

In his briefing, the ambassador explained that ignoring the Ethiopian government’s repeated calls for peaceful resolution of the conflict, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) is committing atrocities against the people of Tigray, Amhara and Afar, and looting humanitarian aid such as food and fuel.

And he called on the international community to refrain from the unbalanced expression of “the two sides” and to condemn the atrocities being committed by the TPLF and to support the government’s call for peace.

Moreover, the Ambassador stressed that the government of Ethiopia is deeply honored and is very much thankful of the Chinese government for supporting Ethiopia throughout this challenging time in a show of strong partnership and true friendship.
