Inter-Religious Council holds its first overseas conference
Addis Ababa, May 22, 2021 (FBC) – Inter-Religious Council of Ethiopia has held its overseas founding conference in the U.S. involving participation of diplomatic community of the Ethiopian Embassy in Washington DC.
Secretary General of the Inter-Religious Council, Fr. Tagay Tadelle, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ethiopia to the U.S., Fitsum Arega and various other Ethiopian religious leaders and members of the council attended the founding meeting.
On the occasion, the Secretary General Fr. Tagay said all religious institutions in Ethiopia have been presented on the conference that focused on maintenance of peace and harmony in Ethiopia.
He further stressed need to preserve the longstanding cordial co-existence among varied religious and cultural communities and support peace building efforts in Ethiopia.
