Integration of Ethiopia-Djibouti Railway with strategic ports promoting regional trade: CEO

Addis Ababa, September 9, 2024 (FBC) – Chief Executive Officer of Ethio Djibouti Standard Gauge Railway Share Company, Takele Uma, met with Yonis Ali Guedi, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Djibouti.

Takele expressed gratitude to Yonis Ali for his efforts and leadership in connecting the Ethiopia-Djibouti railway to strategic ports thereby transforming regional trade.

“This boosts our two countries economic growth and strengthens partnership between our two nations,” Take said. He also thanked the Djiboutian side for their efforts in mitigating power outages during operations.
