Institution to fully digitalize document authentication and registration services

Addis Ababa, May 19, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopian Document Authentication and Registration service announced activities to fully digitalize its services with support of up to date technologies.

The institution consulted with various stakeholders on the activities it has been undertaking to streamline its services.

Director General of the Service, Degato Kumbi stated on the occasion that the digitalization drive would enable the institution to deliver reliable and speedy services to its customers.

Currently, 80 percent of institutions services are delivered through contactless mechanisms and this helped address problems of maladministration, he said, adding that preparations for the fully digitalized online system are nearing completion.

State Minister for Justice, Alemante Agidew, in his remarks at the consultative meeting, stated that the realization of online document authentication and registration system has indispensable role in capacitating the justice sector.
