Industry Minister meets with leadership of Russian Mfg companies

Addis Ababa, July 14, 2023 (FBC) – Ethiopia’s Minister of Industry Melaku Alebel met and held a discussion with the leaders of manufacturing industries and enterprises in Russia, the Ministry of Industry (MoI) disclosed.

The leaders from fertilizer, chemical engineering, space rocket engineering, and medical equipment manufacturing industries as well as education sector, and other enterprises participated in the discussion.

During his meeting with the representatives, Melaku said that the discussion will play a significant role in boosting the bilateral relations between Ethiopia and Russia.

It is stated that the meeting focused on cooperation in agriculture and fertilisers, petroleum, education, agreement on air transport and development of industrial parks.

The Minister visited JSC URAL, a Russian car manufacturing plant, and observed the chemical and metallurgical products of the plant.

After the visit, the Minister also held a discussion with the representatives of the Ural Federal University regarding the university’s scholarship opportunities.
