India Commits to Capacity Building Support for Ethiopia’s Agricultural Sector
Addis Ababa, July 17, 2024 – The Indian government has pledged to provide capacity building support to Ethiopia in the areas of agricultural investment, commodity exchanges, and innovative technologies. This commitment was made during a meeting between Ethiopian Minister of Agriculture, Girma Amente (PhD), and India’s Ambassador to Ethiopia, Anil Kumar Rai.
The minister expressed gratitude towards India’s desire to cooperate with Ethiopia in the agricultural sector, which has the potential to further strengthen relations between the two countries. To sustain the country’s remarkable achievements in agriculture, Dr. Amente emphasized the need for sharing best practices, knowledge, and new technologies with India.
Ambassador Anil Kumar reaffirmed India’s commitment to providing capacity building support in agricultural investment, agricultural product exchanges, and new technologies to support Ethiopia’s continued growth and development in the sector.
