India-Africa business conclave kicks off in New Delhi

Addis Ababa, August 20, 2024 (FBC) – Representatives of African nations and companies are gathering in New Delhi to participate in the 19th India-Africa Business Conclave. This is reported by ZBC News, a partner of TV BRICS.

Zimbabwe’s Vice President General (Retired) Constantino Chiwenga and Gambia’s Vice President Mohammed Jallow have already arrived in the Indian capital, Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal informed in his official social media account.

The event is being organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India. The aim of the conference is to support Africa’s economic growth and development and strengthen business ties with the continent.

Participants will discuss co-operation in agriculture, food processing, information technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, financial sector and energy.

In addition to the main programme, exhibitions and presentations of products that Indian manufacturers intend to introduce to African markets are planned.

Since the first India-Africa Conclave, the event has become one of the most significant and representative formats of partnership between New Delhi and the continent. Over 10,000 delegates, ranging from business representatives to heads of state, have attended the events since then, the organisers claim.
