Immigration agency inaugurates border control post at Ethio-South Sudan border
Addis Ababa, January 30, 2021 (FBC) –The Ethiopian Immigration, Nationality, and Vital Events Agency (INVEA) today inaugurated an immigration border control post at Ethio-South Sudan border.
Director General of INVEA, Mujib Jemal, said that the border post built at Pagag, Gambella regional state, would have a significant contribution towards improving the people-to-people ties of the two countries.
Moreover, it would help to combat human trafficking and spread of the coronavirus , he said.
In a move to tackle human trafficking, four border control posts were opened, including in Gambella regional state, this Ethiopian fiscal year alone, he said.
The number of border control posts built by INVEA has now reached 16, it was noted.
