IGAD validates Ethiopia’s draft peace-building manual

Addis Ababa, July 4, 2023 (FBC) – The Validation Workshop for the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace on the draft peace-building manual has commenced today.

The Ministry and IGAD Peace and Security Division join forces in a strategic partnership to enhance peace-building efforts.

It is stated that the initiative aims to contribute to sustainable peace and stability in Ethiopia by designing a contextualized training manual.

Blending theory with indigenous knowledge, the draft peace-building manual for the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace is taking shape, IGAD Peace and Security Division has stated.

At this Validation Workshop, we ensure a comprehensive document that embraces the political landscape and builds upon existing knowledge, IGAD Peace and Security Division added.

In his opening remarks, Siraj Fegessa, IGAD’s Peace and Security Division Director emphasized the importance of the workshop and the contribution of the validated manual to Peace and stability In Ethiopia.
