IGAD Climate Adaptation Strategy launched

Addis Ababa, December 3, 2023 (FBC) – Executive Secretary of IGAD, Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD), has launched the IGAD Climate Adaptation Strategy at a high-level event on the margins of COP28. 

The strategy is said to be the key part of IGAD member countries’ pledge to the COP28 summit’s Climate, Relief, Recovery, and Peace Declaration.

The Secretary General stated that the strategy aims to bolster resilience and enhance sustainable development amid the changing climate.
