IGAD, Chile ink MoU on Maritime Security

Addis Addis, October 11, 2023 (FBC) – IGAD (Intergovernmental Authority for Development) and the Republic of Chile signed an MoU on Maritime Security, strengthening a mutually beneficial South-South partnership.

Chile, known for its maritime excellence as an Oceanic State, plays a pivotal role on the global stage in international maritime law & legal frameworks.

The MoU was signed in Addis Ababa by Hon. Siraj Fegessa on behalf of Workneh Gebeyehu, the IGAD Executive Secretary, & Amb. Juan Pino, the DG for Middle East & African Affairs of Chile MFA.
