House approves appointment of senior government officials

Addis Ababa, March 12, 2020 (FBC) –The House of People’s Representatives (HPR) of Ethiopia has approved today the appointment of senior government officials.

Below is the list of the appointees:

1. Adanech Abiebie – Attorney General

2. Dr Lia Tadesse – Minister of Health

3. Lake Ayalew- Minister of Revenues

4. Filsen Abdulahi –Minister of Women, Children and Youth

The House approved their appointment with a majority vote and 21 against.

The House also approved the appointment of Tsegaye Arage as Commissioner of the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (FEACC) with a majority vote, 11 against and six abstentions.

It also approved the appointment of board members of the Ethiopian Press Agency (EPA).
