House aspires to establish center for strong foreign diplomacy
Addis Ababa, December 29, 2020 (FBC) – The House of Peoples Representatives yesterday announced a plan to establish center for strong foreign diplomacy.
The national democratic institutions forum discussed the five year strategic plan of the House of Peoples Representatives.
Participants further forwarded several questions following the presentation of the strategic Plan, which entailed inter-active discussion.
They also expressed need to promulgate of quality and appropriate laws, conduct supervisions based on knowledge and concrete evidences, strengthen activities of electorate respective constituencies, build the capacity of the House in several aspects.
While responding to the concerns raised by the participants, speaker of the house, Tagesse Chafo said activities are underway to ensure that the country has independent courts, human rights institutions and stronger media as means to step up democratization process in the country.
He elaborated that the parliament is dealing with tasks aimed to ensure that the country has independent and strong institutions and center for strong foreign diplomacy.
