Horn of Africa Initiative Ministerial Meeting underway in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, October 3, 2023 (FBC) – The Horn of Africa Initiative Ministerial Meeting is taking place in Addis Ababa in attendance of European Commissioner for Int’l Partnerships Jutta Urpilainen and Ethiopia’s Finance Minister, Ahmed Shide who are co-chairing the session.

The meeting is focused on borderlands and private sector investments in Ethiopia as European Union, Germany and France are supporting the process.

The meeting is expected to explore ways to address common global challenges and tackle national challenges in Ethiopia.

Commissioner Jutta Urpilainen and Finance Minister Ahmed Shide have so far discussed macroeconomic situation, ongoing reforms and the reconstruction process in Ethiopia.
