Hora Finfinnee, Hora Harsadi Irreecha festivals attended by 10mln people
Addis Ababa, October 2, 2022 (FBC) – More than 10 million people have attended the 2022 Hora Finfinnee and Hora Harsadi Irreechaa festivals from across Ethiopia, confirmed the official statement of the Oromia regional state.
Shimels Abdisa, Head of State of the Oromia Region, said in his post-Irreechaa festival media briefing, stated that this year’s Hora Finfinnee and Hora Harsadi Irreechaa festivals have been celebrated peacefully and successfully than ever without any security concerns, thanks to the concerted and irreplaceable efforts of the people and the national security institutes.
According to Shimels, desires to spoil the Irreechaa festivals by terrorists in collaboration with Ethiopia’s historic enemies have been successfully foiled and nullified by national security forces in collaboration with the community.
He praised the people, the security forces and various concerned structures for such integrated leadership and achievement.
The head of regional government claimed that Ethiopia’s security structures used advanced and contemporary information systems to ensure the peaceful completion of these celebrations through the organized exchange of information.
He pointed out that this achievement is the portrait of the level of development of the Ethiopian security system.
Shimelis recalled that the peaceful celebration of the Mesqel Holiday was repeated in Irreechaa, and once again appreciated all those who contributed to the peaceful celebration of these festivals.
According to Shimels Abdisa, Ethiopia is the sum of all ethnic groups and their indigenous cultures and traditions.
He stated that, to realize Ethiopia’s height, all cultures and traditions should be treated equally, affirming that national values will be regarded equally.
