HoPR, Upper House to hold joint session on Monday

Addis Ababa, October 6, 2023 (FBC) – The opening session of the sixth round of the third year of the FDRE House of Peoples’ Representatives (HoPR) and the House of Federation (HoF) will be held on Monday 9 October 2023.

Public Relations Director of HoPR Mr. Yakob Woldesemayat told Fana Broadcasting Corporate that President Sahle-Work Zewde will open the houses’ joint session on Monday October 9, 2023.

Opening the joint session on Monday afternoon, the President will deliver a speech outlining the major priorities of the government in the 2023/24 Ethiopian financial year, the PR Director indicated.

Besides to the members of the parliament, the 2023/24 (2016 E.C) opening joint session of the two houses will be attended by diplomatic community, religious leaders, leaders of political parties and other invited guests, Mr. Yakob added.
