His Grace Archbishop Abune Aregawi (PhD) passes away

Addis Ababa, March 21, 2023 (FBC) – The Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Archbishop of Dire Dawa and Djibouti Dioceses, His Grace Abune Aregawi has passed away.

His Grace Abune Aregawi was attending medical treatment at home and abroad, according to Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church Mass Media Agency.

Abune Aregawi was one of the bishops who were ordained by Patriarch of Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church and Archbishop of Axum and Echegue of the See of Teklehaimanot, His Holiness Abune Matias on 16 July, 2016.
