High Level Ugandan Delegation visits INSA Head Office in Addis Ababa
Addis Ababa, August 22, 2022 (FBC) – The High Level Ugandan Delegation in Ethiopia has visited the Head Office of the Information Network Security Administration (INSA).
INSA Director General, Solomon Soka briefed the delegation on the reforms carried out to streamline the institution and activities underway to build cybersecurity capacity.
The Director General of the National Intelligence and Security Service, Mr. Temeseng Tiruneh along with senior staff of the Service accorded a warm welcome to the Ugandan delegation.
They visited the cyber talent development hub, digital exhibition center and other units in the organization and respective activities.
The delegation is expected to discuss with senior officials of Ethiopia on ways of enhancing cooperation between the two countries to ensure peace and security in East Africa.
The Ugandan delegation includes Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Henry Okello Oryem, as well as the Commander-in-Chief of the country’s Ground Forces and President Yoweri Museveni’s Senior Advisor on Special Operations, Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kianerugaba, and other senior security and military leaders.
During its stay in Addis Ababa, the delegation is expected to hold discussions with its Ethiopian counterpart that will help strengthen the cooperation between Ethiopia and Uganda to ensure peace and security in East Africa and to prevent terrorism.
