Health State Minister holds talks with deputy head of China’s Sansure Biotech Inc.

Addis Ababa, July 18, 2024 (FBC) – Dr. Dereje Duguma, State Minister of Health of Ethiopia held a discussion with Ms. Jun Zhou, Deputy General Manager and Chief Medical Officer of Sansure Biotech Inc in Beijing, China.

Today’s discussion centered on collaborations and advancements in the health sector, according to the Ethiopian Embassy in Beijing.

The two dignitaries also highlighted the ongoing efforts to strengthen health sector ties and technological advancements between Ethiopia and China.

Stame Minister Dereje is participating in the 3rd Conference of the Global Health Forum in the Chinese capital this week.

In his remarks at the Forum on Tuesday, Dr. Dereje highlighted Africa’s critical juncture in its quest for health and well-being, acknowledging the continent’s significant challenges and opportunities in creating resilient, equitable, and sustainable health systems.

He noted Ethiopia’s new Health Policy, which adopts the Health in All Policies approach to ensure inclusivity. Africa remains united in its determination to build back better, the state minister added.
