Health Minister shares Ethiopia’s experience to overcome pandemic, conflict challenges at ECOSOC Forum

The Health Minister, Dr. Lia Tadesse has participating in United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) Forum on the session “Financing the SDGs by increasing fiscal space for an inclusive and sustainable recovery”, representing Ethiopia.

Dr. Lia shared Ethiopia’s experience to overcome the threat that the COVID-19 pandemic, conflict, drought and other challenges have posed.

“Improving global coordination and alignment with national plans, increased allocations of funds, sustainable solutions for debt distress are key for countries to protect vulnerable communities and achieve SDGs in the current contracted fiscal space,” Dr. Lia underscored during the forum.
