Health Minister, ROK MPs discuss collaboration on health system priorities of Ethiopia
Addis Ababa, November 2, 2023 (FBC) – Minister of Health, Lia Taddese, had a discussion on Wednesday with members of the parliament of Republic of Korean government.
During their meeting, the Minister and the Korean MPs discussed the existing and potential collaborations with the government of Republic of Korea through KOICA (Korea International Cooperation Agency), Korea Foundation for International Healthcare (KOFIH), Korea Exim bank and more on health system priorities of Ethiopia, like communicable diseases including hepatitis, NCD, nutrition, pandemic preparedness, human resource for health development and more.
“We appreciate the longstanding partnership and look forward to expanding and strengthening our partnership,” said the Minister via a post published on her social media page.
Meanwhile, the Health Minister also held a discussion with Italian delegation consisting of the President of the Lazio Region Francesco Rocca.
In the meeting, both sides explored forms of collaboration in the medical-health sector and for the reconstruction of hospital infrastructures in the areas affected by the conflict as well as other forms of cooperation in the economic and training fields between companies in the Lazio region and Ethiopia.
