Health Minister, Gavi CEO discuss ways to enhance cooperation

Addis Ababa, October 4, 2022 (FBC) – The Health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse received CEO of Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, Seth Berkley to discuss ways to strengthen the health system in Ethiopia.

The two also exchanged view on addressing Zero Dose children in hard to reach areas, in IDP and populations affected by conflict, drought, flood; strengthening routine immunization, enhancing access to HPV and COVID-19 vaccines, strengthening health systems and more.

On the occasion, Dr. Lia expressed gratitude to Gavi for its support and the two decade long partnership with the Ministry of Health.

The cooperation between the Ministry of Health and the Vaccine Alliance has brought many results with many lives saved from vaccine preventable diseases and stronger primary health care system in the country.
