Hawassa Industrial Park generates $32mln in 3 months
Addis Ababa, January 10, 2023 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC) announced that Hawassa Industrial Park has generated 32 million USD in the last three months.
IPDC’s Head of Marketing and Communication Department, Zemen Junedi, told Fana Broadcasting Corporate that, after the Pretoria peace agreement, industrial parks return with encouraging activities to revive the sector.
For this reason, the demand of new investors to enter to invest in industrial parks has increased following the peace agreement, he said.
According to an Economist, Alemayehu Kebede, the return of promising peace has created a suitable environment for the development of industrial parks.
He pledged that he will contribute his share to help revive the economy of the country through advocating investment in industrial parks and creation of job opportunities.
Alemayehu further advised that the opportunity should be made utilized by establishing favourable working conditions and infrastructure of the industrial parks.
