H.R. 6600, S. 3199 contain extremely dangerous contents: Ambassadors

Addis Ababa, March 29, 2022 (FBC) – Ethiopian Ambassador to the U.S Fitsum Arega and Ethiopian Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Taye Atskeselassie had a virtual meeting with representatives of various Ethiopian Diaspora associations in the U.S. regarding HR.6600 and S.3199 and the role of Ethiopians in the Diaspora in protesting the bills.

The Ambassadors underlined that the bills are threatening to sever relationships between the Ethiopian Diaspora and their homeland.

“The bills also contain extremely dangerous contents that would compromise the sovereignty of the country and bend political and economic choices to the will of external actors, the Ambassadors said.”, the Ambassadors underlined
