Gudaf Tsegay aims for glory at the Paris Olympics tonight
Addis Ababa, August 5, 2024 (FBC) – At the ongoing 33rd Olympic Games in Paris, Ethiopian athletes are making waves in various events as Gudaf Tsegay, Ejigayehu Taye, and Medina Eisa are set to compete in the women’s 5000m final, alongside top athletes from different countries.
The race, scheduled for 21:15 this evening, promises to be an exciting spectacle.
In addition to the women’s 5000m final, Tsige Duguma and Worknesh are also aiming to leave their mark in the women’s 800m finals. They will face off against renowned world athletes in this event, which is scheduled for 21:47 later tonight.
Lemecha Girma, the world record holder in the men’s 3,000m steeplechase, will compete in the heat. His compatriots Samuel Firewu and Getnet Wale will also be vying for a spot in the 3000eeplechase finals. The 3000m steeplechase semi-finals will begin at 19:04 this evening.
So far at the Paris Olympics Games, Ethiopia has secured a silver medal through Berihu Aregawi in the men’s 10,000m final.
