Grand Mufti greets all muslims on 1496th Al Maulid Al Nabawi

Addis Ababa, October 17, 2021 ( FBC) – President of Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Supreme Council, Grand Mufti Haji Omar Idris extended a congratulatory message to all Muslims over the 1496th Al Maulid Al Nabawi holiday on Monday.

Maulid is celebrated to remember the life of Prophet Mohammed who was born to preach righteous deeds and rectify misconducts among people of the time.

The Grand Mufti urged the Muslums to recognize contributions and follow examples of the Prophet while celebrating the holiday.

He further called on the Muslim community to visit the needy and the displaced sheltered in camps, expressing his best wishes for peaceful and prosperous Ethiopia.
