Addis Ababa, December 30, 2024 (FMC) — Deputy Prime Minister of Ethiopia Mr. Temesgen Truneh has reiterated his government’s commitment in fostering strong and dynamic media landscape in the country.

The Deputy PM shared his thoughts on his social media page today regarding the impact and role of the media in building a nation and upholding its interest after his visit to the Amhara Media Corporation (AMECO) Addis Ababa Studio cutting-edge facility.

Praising the state-of-the-art studio as a remarkable space, equipped with advanced technology, Mr. Temesgen asserted that the facility is a clear reflection of the government’s commitment to fostering a strong and dynamic media landscape in Ethiopia.

“Media isn’t just about information; it’s about building a nation. It’s a tool for driving social change, sharing the story of our progress, and shaping a positive image of who we are as a people. And in this digital age—when nearly everyone has a device in hand—it’s more important than ever that we step up,” the Deputy Prime Minister noted.

Deputy PM Temesgen affirmed that the government stands ready to support the media effort because when the media thrives, the nation thrives, too. “Together, we’ll ensure Ethiopia’s voice is heard loud and clear across the globe.” he underscored.
