Government: TPLF Routed from Many Fronts, Concerted Action Key to Win the Battle

Addis Ababa, October 21, 2021 (FBC) – The Ethiopian Government Communications Service says concerted actions are the only means to reverse attacks that Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) has opened on the country.

In a statement it issued Thursday, the office noted that, in the extensive attacks it launched in Afar and Amhara regions over the last week, TPLF killed a number of innocent civilians, set fire on a household and looted property.

The group thus has disrupted socio-economic activities in these areas. The misleading propaganda of the group is also distracting many, adds the statement.

The statement also has appreciated the courageous sacrifices the national defense forces are paying in smashing the Junta with the collaboration of the Special Forces and militias of Afar and Amhara states.

According to the office, being routed from other fronts, TPLF now has mobilized the remaining force into Wollo, in an all-out effort to recuperate itself at Wuchale, Tehuledere, Worebabo, Delanta and Chifra fronts.

The statement thus calls on all Ethiopians to stand behind the federal defense forces in order to conclude the war with TPLF victoriously.
