Global Alliance to undertake school expansion project in Afar Region with 10mln birr

Addis Ababa, February 11, 2022 (FBC) – A relief organization named Global Alliance announced a plan to undertake a school expansion project in Logiya town, Afar Region with 10 million birr budget.

The organization has laid a cornerstone for the project in Logiya Primary School in the presence of representatives of the education sector in the region.

A School Principal, Hiwot Shemelis, during the cornerstone laying ceremony, stated that they are forced to enroll close to 120 pupils per a class room due to lack of accommodation in the facility.

Global Alliance Board Chairperson, Tamagn Beyene on the occasion pledged continued support to the education sector in the region. He Afar Development Association will oversee implementation the school expansion project.

Afar is one of the regions affected by the terrorist TPLF aggression and sustained a huge loss of human and property damage due to the conflict.
