Getty Images Photo journalist exposes dishonesty of The Guardian over off-target caption
Addis Ababa, April 25, 2022 (FBC) – Getty Images Photographer Jemal Countess has exposed dishonesty of the Guardian after the later used a photo he took at Sekota, Amhara Region to illustrate alleged situation in Tigray Region.
The changes to the caption in recent publications are dishonest. Here is the original caption: SEKOTA, ETHIOPIA – MARCH 30: A group of internally displaced women from the Wag Hemra zone sit together in a shelter at the Meberat Haile IDP camp on March 30, 2022 in Sekota, Ethiopia. pic.twitter.com/B9bueON5Y4

An American Journalist Ann Garrison also debunked the dishonesty of The Guardian in recent comment on the issue.
One picture can tell a 1000 words, or a 1000 lies. I was with Getty photographer Jemal Countess when he took this photo at a Sekota, Amhara Region IDP camp for Amhara fleeing TPLF. The Guardian is using it to illustrate a Tigray "ethnic cleansing" story based on HRW/AI's report. pic.twitter.com/HGyBMWapB2
