Germany provides medical equipment worth €3.6M to 8 hospitals

Addis Ababa, April 16, 2024 (FBC) – The German government, through the KfW Development Bank, provided assistance to eight teaching hospitals in Ethiopia by furnishing them with medical equipment valued at 3.6 million euros.

The beneficiaries of this assistance included Tikur Anbesa Specialized Hospital, Dil Chorra Referral Hospital, Adama Referral Hospital, Dessie Referral Hospital, Bahir Dar Felege Hiwot Referral Hospital, Jimma University Medical Center, Mekelle Ayder Referral Hospital, and Arba-Minch Referral Hospitals

Apart from the material assistance, it has been affirmed that capacity-building training and technical support will be extended to the aforementioned hospitals.

Furthermore, Germany has reiterated its commitment to further enhance and reinforce its support in the future.
