German investors expressed keen interest to invest in Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, May 5, 2023 (FBC) – Following the German Chancellor Olaf Scholz visit to Ethiopia, a high-level economic delegation led by Udo Philipp German state minister, Ministry of Economy and Climate Protection visited Bole Lemi Industrial Park

The delegation also held a discussion with concerned Ethiopian government officials.

Ethiopian Investment Commission Commissioner, Lelise Neme along with other government officials welcomed and briefed delegates about Investment opportunities, and economic reforms undertaken by the government and encouraged the German investors to explore the untapped potential of the country.

The business delegates expressed their keen interest to invest in Ethiopia in agriculture, Agro-processing, energy, and health, among others. Some private companies who already invested in Ethiopia also shared their experiences.

Both sides also expressed their high interest in bolstering trade and economic cooperation, enhancing job creation, and impacting export performance.
