German donates 271,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines to Ethiopia

Addis Ababa, September 17, 2021 (FBC) – Ministry of Health received on Friday a donation of 271,200 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the German Government.

The donation made via the COVAX Facility is aimed to enhance Ethiopia’s efforts to protect its population from COVID-19.

“These vaccines come at a critical time when we are experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases and  would like to sincerely thank the Government of Germany for the kind support,” the Health Minister Dr. Lia Tadesse said during the handover ceremony.

She further extend appreciation to the COVAX facility and UNICEF for their continued support.
