Foundation stone laid for construction of military camp in west Shoa

Addis Ababa, March 14, 2020 (FBC) – A foundation stone has been laid today for a military camp to be built in west Shoa zone, Oromia regional state.

The ceremony was attended by Lt.-Gen. Getachew Gudina, head of Defense Engineering Department, Maj.-Gen. Kefyalew Amde and Maj-Gen. Berhanu Bekele, among others.

The camp will be built with 16 million birr on 12 hectares of land, according to Lt-Gen. Getachew.

The construction of the camp will contribute a lot for the development and peace in the region, besides creating job opportunities, he added.
