Former PM Hailemariam praises dev’t projects in Addis Ababa

Addis Ababa, August 27, 2020 (FBC) –Former Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalgen has praised the development projects carried out in Addis Ababa.

Hailemariam, who is also Board Chair of Tourism Ethiopia, made the remark during ‘Addis Weg’ roundtable discussion organized today by office of the Prime Minister.

The discussion attracted Dr Abrham Belay, Minister of Innovation and Technology, Dr Eyob Tekalign, State Minister of Finance, Engineer Habtamu Tegegn Director General of Ethiopian Roads Authority.

He said the success and experiences gained from the execution of Unity Park, Entoto and Sheger projects could be a model for other development works.

The performances of the projects have taught us how to address problems ranging from designing to finalizing projects, the former Prime Minister said.

Dr Abrham Belay for his part stated the projects have created a good opportunity for the country to see its available resources and also showed how public-private partnership is fruitful.

Habtamu Tegegn said the projects are a testimony there is no other option than to think and execute bigger for the success of the on-going journey to prosperity.

Dr Eyob Tekalign said the projects are a good beginning to exploit the country’s tourism potential and boost its contribution to the economy.
