Former Liberian president Ellen Johnson Sirleaf visits the Adwa Victory Memorial

Addis Ababa, February 21, 2024 (FBC) – The former president of Liberia, Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, visited the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa today, the Mayor Office of the Ethiopian capital confirmed.

During her visit, the former Liberian president underscored that the victory of Adwa is the victory and pride of all Africans.

It is stated that Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, the first-ever African female president, was thrilled to visit the Adwa victory memorial and appreciated the work of the monument.

After giving a tour to Sirleaf, Addis Ababa City Administration Mayor Adanech Abiebie said via a social media post that she is delighted by the visit of the former Liberian leader to the Adwa Victory Memorial.
