FM Taye reaffirms Ethiopia’s continued support to IGAD in efforts for regional peace, stability

Addis Ababa, June 24, 2024 (FBC) – Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), Workneh Gebeyehu (PhD), received Ambassador Taye Atske-Selassie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, at his office today.

Their discussions focused on issues of mutual interest, including regional security, institutional support, and the situation in Sudan.

Ambassador Taye pledged Ethiopia’s full commitment to supporting IGAD in fulfilling its mission in the region.

Foreign Minister Taye also reaffirmed Ethiopia’s continued contribution to the efforts to enhance peace and stability in the region.
